Assalamualaikum...

Greetings, little ones, medium, and big ones! This is my story, to the land far away from home, on the edge of Europe. This is Ireland.

Join me on my journey of sightseeing, travel, and self-discovery. Cross your fingers and hope I would also bring images and stories from Scotland, Germany, Italy bla bla bla...

Announcement on 23/11/2004

I've made some improvements on the photos, as I thought small pixes are not good enough. So run your cursors over the pixes, and if the arrow becomes a hand, click it and a pretty big image will come out. Maybe you'll like it as ur wallpaper?

I made a page dedicated for everything and nothing all at once, the Footnotes, and an Images page for the accumulating views my eyes and my lens have seen.

A little lesson in Geography: where am I?

Click on the map to get closer

There I am, in the little town of Ballinasloe. In Gaellic, it is Beal Atha Na Sluaghe, which sounds pretty much like the spelling in English, and translates roughly to 'the town of Slua' - whatever that means - I'll get to that again. About 3 hours from Dublin, 1 hour from Galway. The town does not even exist in my 1993 KBSM Atlas.

Anyway I've pointed and numbered the locations which I have went to, so as not to keep u wondering where are the places. So as this journal progresses, we'll be seeing more and more marks on the map. Yeah, I'm flirting with the thoughts as if I am conquering the land.

Up to date, I have went to:

Dublin & Galway
(1) Powerscourt Garden - page 02
(2) Glendalough & Wicklow Gap - page 02
(3) Aillwee Cave - page 03
(4) Cliffs of Moher - page 03
